I have worked in financial services for 25 years. Since September 2001, I have worked as an IFA with the Cavanagh Group.

My professional qualifications include Chartered Financial Planner status and I am also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.

Since 1989 much of my work has involved financial planning for elderly clients, and their families. I am personally well aware of the stresses and emotions that arise when considering the need for formal care for a member of the family, as several years ago, my father-in-law had to be admitted to a care home with Alzheimers. It was partly this experience that led to me dealing to an even greater extent with clients and their families who needed care fees planning advice.

I am a member of The Retirement & Care Faculty and authorised to advise on lifetime mortgages and home reversion policies.

I am particularly proud to be a Symponia member, and look after the postal code areas of TW, UB and SL.

Away from work, I have four young children who keep me very much on my toes, and occasionally I am successful in finding time for a round of golf. I also very much enjoy my role as a School Governor and Chair of Finance at our local primary school.
