Janet started work as a student nurse and although this was in 1979, she still calls upon this experience when working with a new client family. She also knows what you are going through, sadly, dementia has made more than one appearance in her own family; it is a wicked condition, that she hopes one day, can at least be treated if not prevented altogether.

She has worked in the care fees planning arena for over 15 years, is passionate about her work, and genuinely believes that when done with due diligence and sensitivity care fees planning exercises can transform the financial situation of the person in care. Janet believes very strongly in traditional family values and open honest communications, this is backed up by her methodical, ethical and professional approach.

Janet heads up the Care Fees Planning Division at Warwick Butchart Associates, a friendly, family firm, based in Cheltenham. Janet can (and will) wax lyrical about care fees planning, she has appeared in many national newspapers, local radio and has spoken at many financial meetings and conferences.

Janet is a member of The Retirement & Care Faculty.

She is married to Symponia Chairman Jeremy, and shares her home with three very naughty pussy-cats, all named after Harry Potter characters. Spare time is spent walking, cooking, socialising with friends and family, going to the cinema and whenever possible travelling to her favourite Greek island, Corfu.
