Simon has worked in Financial Services since 1989 holding a variety of advisory and senior management roles before becoming independent in 1997.

He has extensive knowledge of the financial services sector and specialises in working with Investment, Inheritance Tax, Trustee Investment and Retirement Planning scenarios.

He has over 7 years experience of working within the Care Fees Planning sector having previously worked within a specialist Care Fees department at his previous practice in Plymouth.

Simon prides himself on his attention to detail and the ability to empathise and communicate closely with clients, family, powers of attorney and other professional advisers throughout an individuals' need of care.

Having obtained the Certificate in Financial Planning, the Certificate in Equity Release and the specialist Care Fees Planning qualification, Simon is currently studying for the new Chartered Financial Planner status.

He joined Kernow Financial Planning in 2006 who are an Independent Financial Advisory practice based in the Nationwide Branch Agency in Launceston in Cornwall and has developed working relationships with many care and residential homes, solicitors, accountants and other professional advisers throughout Devon and Cornwall.

Simon is a football association registered scout for Plymouth Argyle and also works closely with many other local clubs, including Truro City. He also plays guitar in a Blues Rock band and enjoys watching his son play county cricket (for Devon!!)
