I started working in financial services in 1980 after obtaining an honours degree in politics and history!

I have gained experience in all the main financial planning markets and more recently this has led to specialisation in the area of planning for long term care. I work closely with clients to assess their needs and great care is taken to ensure that each person is treated sympathetically and as an individual.
Decisions concerning long term care for elderly people usually affect more than the person who goes into care. I therefore go to considerable trouble to make sure all the family is briefed and included at every stage of the planning process.
Recommendations are always put in writing in a bespoke report but only after an initial meeting with all concerned parties when the relevant factors are discussed and concerns raised.

It may often be necessary to liase with other professionals such as solicitors and this I see as an important part of my job.

I am married with two children both grown up. My mother, now 84, is still prospering in her own home.

I enjoy hill walking, a nice glass of claret and good conversation with friends.
